SYMPOSIUM RULES
  • The symposium will accept papers in Turkish, English, and Arabic.
  • The first day sessions of the symposium will be held face-to-face, while the second- and third-day sessions will be held online. The face-to-face/online status of the accepted papers will be announced in advance.
  • Papers must have original content and must not have been published before.
  • Abstracts should be sent to ukas2024@karabuk.edu.tr 
  • Abstracts and full papers submitted to the symposium will be subject to peer review.
  • All abstracts accepted to the symposium will be published in the symposium proceedings book (KBU Publications / e-book).
  • Submitted full texts will be subjected to referee control again. (It is not obligatory to submit full texts.)
  • The full texts that pass the referee control are planned to be published as "editorial book work". Papers that do not pass the referees will be taken into the evaluation process in the journal "Mütalaa" published within our faculty upon the request of the author.
 
Guidelines for Paper Submission

  • The paper abstract should include the research topic, scope, significance, objectives, methodology, and findings.
  • The abstract should be between 250-500 words, written in a single paragraph.
  • The abstract should include a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords.
  • The abstract should include the author's name, surname, email, mobile number, ORCID, title, and institutional affiliation.
  • The full paper should be between 4000-7000 words.
  • The citation and referencing should follow the ISNAD Citation System 2nd Edition (https://www.isnadsistemi.org/guide/isnad2/).
  • For the spelling of non-Turkish proper nouns (religious terms, sects, individuals, Quranic chapters, etc.), book titles, and concepts, the usage in the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation's Encyclopedia of Islam should be followed.
  • The paper should include an introduction, main text, and conclusion. Decimal system should be used for headings outside of the introduction and conclusion.
  • The paper should be written using Microsoft Word.
  • A4 paper size should be used with 3 cm margins on all sides.
  • The main text should be in 12-point font, while footnotes and the reference list should be in 10-point font.
  • The line spacing should be 1.5 for the main text and 1.0 for the abstract and reference list.
